Professor Tim Bonyhady's book Good Living Street: The Fortunes of My Viennese Family  has won the 2012 New South Wales Premier's General History Prize and Community Relations Commission Award.

Professor Bonyhady's book is a family memoir, that traces the lives of three generations of women in his family, who arrived in Australia as refugees in 1938. It relates their personal stories with the wider significance of their place in a tumultuous Europe on the brink of collapse, and their significance as patrons of the arts in high society Vienna.

The book has also won the History Prize at the Queensland Premier's Awards and the National Biography Award and was shortlisted for the Non-Fiction Prize at the Victorian Premier's Literary Awards.
