Dr Julian Wyatt

Julian is an Australian-qualified disputes lawyer working in Geneva, Switzerland and Melbourne, Australia with substantial experience in various civil law systems and expertise in public international law.

​Over the last 14 years, he has acted as counsel for States in several investment treaty arbitrations and annulment proceedings (under ICSID and UNCITRAL rules), for Australia in the Whaling in the Antarctic (Australia v Japan) case before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and for a range of Fortune 500 companies in transnational disputes and commercial arbitrations (ICC, LCIA and Swiss Rules), particularly in the domains of finance, joint ventures and intellectual property.  I have also acted as an assistant to arbitral tribunals.

He teaches and publishes (in English, French and German) in areas of law including the law of treaties, dispute settlement before international courts and tribunals, international commercial arbitration, investment arbitration, international trade law, international environmental law, international humanitarian law, private international law and the law of contracts.
